Paradise Oral Histories Project

Preserving voices. Honoring legacy. Shaping history.

The Paradise Oral Histories Project preserves the voices and stories of those who have shaped our church and community across generations. The recorded interviews with Paradise members, leaders, and friends captures personal memories of faith, service, and resilience—stories that reflect not only the life of our congregation but also the broader history of Atlanta. By contributing these lived experiences to historical archives, Paradise ensures that the legacy of our people and our impact on the city will be remembered, celebrated, and studied for years to come. This project welcomes participants of every generation: we honor the wisdom of our elders and equally value the fresh perspectives of younger voices—because every story is part of our shared legacy.

No one person or story is more important than another; together, every voice helps tell the story of who we are. That’s why we welcome participants of every generation: we honor the wisdom of our elders and equally value the fresh perspectives of younger voices—because every story matters and contributes to our past, present, and future. As 1 Corinthians 12:12 reminds us, ‘Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ.’ Every testimony, every memory, every perspective adds to the fullness of the body. Together, these stories weave the living history of Paradise and our shared journey of faith.
